The second Coal Mining Day was Celebrated at Coal Mining region on 7th December 2020. In view of pandemic restriction, the program was organised through virtual platform. Shri Gurdeep Singh , CMD graced the occasion as the Chief Guest alongwith Shri C K Mondol, Director(Commercial) & Nominated Owner of Coal Mines and Directors of NTPC Ltd.

The program was hosted by Coal Mining Region with the participation of all EDs,HOPs and other Coal Mining fraternity.

Coal Mining Day is celebrated to commemorate the day of the first extraction of coal from its first captive mining project,PakriBarwadih Coal Mining Project (PBCMP)and it is also celebrated as the fourth anniversary for getting its first coal on this day in 2016.
